Plans, Credits & Billing

Prices, credit amounts, and plan limits change from time to time. The plan comparison page  always shows the current numbers.

Which plan is right for me?

  • Standard is for regular listeners. It includes monthly AI processing credits, RSS and OPML import, audio uploads, Chat, translations, Clips, and sending to Notion, Readwise, Obsidian, and Logseq.
  • Pro is for people who want Podwise inside their AI tools and workflows. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI apps through the MCP Server, let agents work with podcasts through the CLI and Skills, or build your own automations with the Open API. Pro also includes everything in Standard, plus more monthly credits, unlimited Ask AI, and discounted extra credits.
  • Enterprise is for teams and businesses. It includes everything in Pro, plus unlimited AI processing of public podcast episodes (fair use applies) and a dedicated Enterprise API for processing your own audio at scale, with translations, file exports, and webhooks. Private imports and uploaded audio are billed by processed audio duration. Contact support@podwise.ai to learn more.

Standard and Pro are available with monthly or annual billing. Compare them on the plan comparison page , and subscribe from the Billing page .

What is an AI processing credit?

A credit is what you spend to run AI on an episode that hasn’t been processed yet. Processing generates the transcript, summary, mind map, and the rest of the episode’s AI content.

  • A podcast episode or YouTube video uses 1 credit.
  • An uploaded audio file uses credits based on its length: 1 credit for the first hour, then 1 more credit for every additional 30 minutes.

Credits are deducted only after processing succeeds. If processing fails, no credits are used.

Do I use credits to read episodes that are already processed?

No. Subscribers have unlimited access to every public episode that has already been processed in Podwise, and opening one never uses credits.

Podwise also processes new episodes from the most-followed podcasts automatically, so many popular episodes are ready to read without spending anything.

When do my monthly credits reset?

Monthly credits reset to your plan’s amount on the first day of each month (UTC+0). Unused monthly credits don’t carry over to the next month.

Your current balance and usage history are on the Billing page .

Can I buy more credits?

Yes. Subscribers can buy extra credit packs from the Billing page . Extra credits:

  • Never expire and don’t reset each month
  • Are used only after your monthly credits run out
  • Require an active subscription to use. If your subscription ends, your remaining extra credits are kept and become usable again when you subscribe.

Pro subscribers get a lower price per credit.

How does the 7-day free trial work?

Every monthly and annual subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, whether you subscribe on the web or in the app. One-time purchase plans don’t include a trial.

  • You can use every feature of your plan during the trial.
  • App Store subscriptions get your plan’s full monthly credits from the first day of the trial.
  • Web subscriptions have a separate, smaller AI processing limit during the trial. Each request also counts against your monthly or extra credits. If you use up the trial limit, click End trial and start billing on the Billing page  to end the trial early and unlock your full monthly credits.
  • To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial end date shown on the Billing page. See How do I cancel or resume my subscription?

What’s the difference between Ask AI limits and credits?

They are separate allowances:

  • Credits are used to process new episodes.
  • Ask AI answers questions across podcasts and has a daily question limit that depends on your plan. Pro and Enterprise include unlimited Ask AI.

Asking questions never uses credits.

How do I cancel or resume my subscription?

How you manage your subscription depends on where you bought it.

  • On the web: Open the Billing page . From there you can cancel or resume your subscription, update your payment method, view invoices, and apply a discount code.
  • In the iOS app: Manage your subscription in your Apple Account subscriptions , signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

When you cancel, you keep access to your plan until the end of the current billing period. You can resume a canceled subscription anytime before then.

I subscribed in the iOS app. Why can’t I manage it on the web?

Apple handles App Store purchases, so Podwise can’t cancel or change them for you. Use your Apple Account subscriptions  instead.

Your plan still applies to your Podwise account everywhere, including the web and Android. If your subscription doesn’t appear after reinstalling the app or switching devices, sign in with the same Podwise account and tap Restore subscription on the billing page in the iOS app.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds follow our Refund Policy . App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, so request them through Apple.

I bought a one-time plan. What do I need to know?

A one-time plan gives you Standard or Pro for one month or one year with a single payment, and it never renews automatically. On the web, you can buy one with Alipay or WeChat Pay from the Billing page , where these payment methods are available in your region.

  • No trial: One-time plans start right away and don’t include the 7-day free trial.
  • Credits: Your monthly credits reset on the first day of each month (UTC+0), the same as a subscription.
  • Adding more time: Buy another one-time plan of the same tier. While your current plan is active, the new time is added to its expiry date, so purchases stack.
  • Upgrading to Pro: Pay the difference on the Billing page to upgrade the rest of your Standard plan to Pro right away.
  • When it ends: Your plan ends on the expiry date shown on the Billing page, so there’s nothing to cancel. You can’t start a subscription while a one-time plan is active. Wait until it expires, or contact support@podwise.ai.

If the Billing page says your plan never expires, it doesn’t need renewing or managing.
