Library, Playback & Clips

How is my Library organized?

Your Library has four sections:

  • Episodes: Episodes you’ve added, followed, starred, read, processed, played, imported, or uploaded, grouped into tabs such as Inbox, Updates, and Uploaded
  • Podcasts: The podcasts you follow, your starred podcasts, and your private podcasts
  • Clips: The moments you’ve saved from episodes
  • Lists: Your own collections of episodes, podcasts, or Clips

Removing an episode from your Library hides it without deleting anything. You can restore it later.

What are Lists?

Lists let you organize content your own way, such as “Startup interviews” or “Episodes to share with my team”. Each List holds one type of content: episodes, podcasts, or Clips.

What are Clips?

Clips are short moments you save from an episode, such as a quote, an insight, or an idea you want to remember. Create one with the Clip button in the player while you listen, or with your headphone controls in the mobile app. Podwise finds the valuable part around that moment, cuts the audio, and writes a short summary.

You can share Clips as a link or image, add them to Lists, download their audio, and send them to Markdown, Notion, or Readwise. Clips require a subscription.

How do I review my Clips?

Open the Clips section of your Library and play a Clip. You can review Clips from a single episode, a List, or your whole collection.

Turn on Autoplay Next to play the next Clip automatically when the current one ends. Clip review is separate from your episode player, so it doesn’t change your episode queue or playback progress.

Is there a limit on the play queue and history?

Yes. The play queue and play history each keep up to 100 episodes.

Can I listen offline?

Yes, in the iOS and Android apps. Download an episode to save its AI content, translations, and audio to your device. Audio from YouTube videos can’t be downloaded.

Downloaded audio plays from the beginning and isn’t added to your play queue or history. Its playback progress doesn’t sync to your account.

Does my playback progress sync across devices?

Yes. When you’re online, Podwise saves your playback progress to your account, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
